“I bought some Charlie’s Smokehouse smoked trout at Christmas and it made my wife violently sick with vometing and diarrhea - BEWARE”

“This business did not make us happy. Christmas order placed was never delivered and indeed, we discovered had been shipped to the wrong address, including a Gift parcel. Requests for support met with disgruntled owner who did not bother to check systems in error or apologise. We requested a refund but no response - it will not be left there - I fully intend to get our money back. Hanging up on customers who call in to alert is rude and carry on like that and there will be no customers. Having spoken to a number of retail outlets (trying to source product with two days to go to Festives), they all told me horror story of trying to deal with this business and how the owner is rude and often does not turn up with deliveries. It is a real shame - the product is just great but lack of business skills or customer facing manner means that Charlies is just too difficult to rely on for product - never again. Nice pics on the website give a totally false impression of the lack of process behind it.”
