“I hired BooksGoSocial because I do not like to self promote. I would be happy to pay for promotion if it were effective. Unfortunately, the promotional campaign BGS did for me which consisted of my book's mention (I Came by Cab) on their site as well as a twitter campaign had zero effect. I do not believe I sold a single book during it's run. I still think my book is good. My reviews are all 5-star. Unfortunately after its first year, the book has done nothing. I have no complaints about BGS's service in the sense that the company quickly replied to my emails and answered my questions. It was all very professional but, sadly, it did not work.”

“BooksGoSocial.com has a a wide variety of books from all genres to choose from. The website is easy to navigate and user friendly. Browsing is enjoyable as a first page preview is available. BooksGoSocial offers an excellent support service for authors, author interviews and a Reader Group. I highly recommend BooksGoSocial.”

“Thank you for the support. The tweets came up regularly and were nicely visible. A did notice though that they tended to be clustered together i.e. they would come in groups of 3 or 4 and then there would be a big space of time and intervening tweets from others, before another set would appear. Unfortunately, the tweets did not create a difference in sales or any apparent interest in the book...sigh. Thanks anyway.”

“I bought a month and stopped all other marketing efforts in order to see the result. There was no result. My sales dropped to a flatline for the month. I have much better result from promoting on Facebook with a 5.00 ad on my author page and also the Facebook groups I have joined. I would not recommend your service.”

“Though I did gain more exposure through the BooksGoSocial program, and I know that their team did everything possible to direct attention to my books, I did not experience an appreciable increase in sales. My books are professionally edited with a pro cover, garner good reviews and have a small, loyal fan base, but the Books Go Social program unfortunately has not had a tremendous effect of moving the needle on sales. This could be due to the fact that I write a series, and that sometimes puts new readers off--or because I write in the crowded mystery/thriller genre. That said, I think the BooksGoSocial concept is viable and worth considering as part of any author's marketing plan,”

“So far, I have not had one sale directly tied to the tweets by your group. As far as the BooksGoSocial website, the time I am allowed on there is so limited, it is of very little value. Instead, I am on twenty-three other related writer/reader FB pages where I receive far, far greater response. The money I have spent has not been worth what I have gotten out of BooksGoSocial. I am deleting and blocking all relating posts from BooksGoSocial.”

“I really didn't know what to expect here. There have been a few sales, but not enough to cover the cost of the promotion. Hopefully it is expanding my reader base and will help with future sales,”

As Soad notes above, he was refunded in full, fast. Some books we just can't help with. But we do keep our promise to refund if it doesn't work out. About 1% ask and get a full refund, fast.

We refunded Diana within 24hrs. In full. Her book was a weight loss/fitness book, which we don't do well promoting. We have self help and a lot of other non fiction books, but weight loss & dieting are genres we stay away from.
