“⭐☆☆☆☆ I was extremely disappointed with my experience of The Alterations Boutique. I paid approximately £280 for alterations to a Max Mara jacket, trousers and shirt. The alterations process involved the Hampstead, Chelsea and Marylebone branches, and I managed the appointments and correspondence throughout. Unfortunately, the experience was stressful and highly disappointing. The alterations were affected by repeated workmanship and quality control issues, requiring multiple return visits in an attempt to have matters rectified. Despite this, the garments were still not completed correctly, and one garment was altered in a way that permanently changed its original design. Most concerning was discovering a pin left sticking out from the jacket, which should have been identified during finishing and final inspection. When I raised these concerns, I provided photographic evidence and was told the matter would be fully reviewed. However, my concerns were never properly addressed. I sent multiple follow-up emails requesting escalation, but these ultimately went unanswered and the company stopped responding altogether. Based on my experience across the branches involved in handling these alterations, the workmanship, quality control and customer service fell well below expectations, and I cannot recommend this company.”
