"I took the TEFL - Tesol 120 hour Masterclass. On the introduction alone, I found 8 mistakes including some pages with no commentary! In addition the commentary was in very poor English. As an Englishman that has published 10 books over the last 20 years I do feel I know a little about the English language. Having completed the course, I took the mock exam however it did not work and I had a blank white screen instead. After customer service (who it must be said were good) had cleared up the problem which was at their end I took the Mock again. The following week I took the final exam which bore absolutely no relation to the Mock exam. Sadly there were further problems with some multiple choice answers given but no questions! 3 questions were not incorporated into the exam. Then another problem unfolded where i was given a score out of 96!!! What??? It appears I got the required pass mark but this was with in some cases no questions whatsoever!!! I took various screenshots and sent to customer service showing various problems and they must have realised there were varying problems at the Alpha Academy end as it then outlined and stated on the website that 'course under evaluation'. Customer service were helpful and efficient throughout all the problems and rigmarole but I was left with a bitter taste thinking I would have been better setting up a rival course myself. I didn't get my money back or any vouchers so i've gone over to a rival company called 'Of Course' for my next course. I have to say the TESOL course here on Alpha Academy was a bit sloppy and at times confusing and as mentioned the narration was appalling at times with simple words like 'reading' being portrayed as the town in Berkshire rather than the process of looking at a series of written symbols and getting meaning from them!! So reading rhymed with bedding rather than feeding! Remember this course is to teach English! Not good enough."
