“Pretty impressed with this little device. Works great with my combo of blinds from blinds2go and home assistant with zwavejs.
Dropped a star since I think the small connections are pretty weak. I'm not sure if a build fault or I broke it but the battery connector on the PCB broke. I ended up fixing this myself since I felt it was better to fix than have this end up in landfill. I'd purchased just one to test the water. I've since purchased another.
Small request would be to flash an LED or something when connecting the battery. When just the battery and solar connected there is no sign of life only when charging I found.”
“These blind controllers are excellent. The installation instructions were great and they were very easy to setup and to add into home assistant and then by turn into Alexa. I need to change the turn on to open but they work so well. I’ve automated blinds whilst on holiday and mornings. Excellent product highly recommended.”
“Quite amazing watching these in action! Simple to install, can be done in around 10 minutes and the motors are reasonably quiet. Always get a laugh seeing the dog panic when the blinds open/close on their own!
Automations simple to setup in smartthings although a little disappointed there's no local control, everything is cloud based. I have seen smartthings edge drivers are available so local control will come soon.
I still need to troubleshoot, but my automatons still don't work 100% of the time. I have 3 blinds in a bay window all set to close at sunset. One of these motors only close around half the time and its the same one everytime. I would hope it would work perfectly out of the box and I am hoping its something that can be fixed.”
