The unit is a lot smaller than I thought it would be, which is not a bad thing. The terminals are easy to get to. The only way of wall mounting is via DIN rail. I've used my module for zoned heating control and works as it should.

While this device is referenced for use in conjunction with the Heatit (or in fact with most any Z-Wave) thermostat as a controller for hydronic valve actuators, it's a much more useful and versatile unit. It really should be described as a 10 gang Z-Wave controlled switch, capable of handling 5 amps up to 230V per circuit. Heating, lighting, valves, hot water cylinders- you name it- can be easily switched on and off via a remote controller. Beyond this, it supports four analog inputs for use with standard thermistors, which is brilliant for getting temperature readings back to the home automation system for analysis or proper action. Control your hot water cylinder and associated valves? No problem. Monitor inputs and outputs of your boiler or source unit? Easy. An added bonus is the built-in 24V DC power supply which can be used along with the output relays for low-voltage control circuits. With mains input of 100V-240V AC, it's good to go worldwide and mounts on the ubiquitous DIN rail for integration into any environment, whether home or industrial. Like all Heatit products, it's wise to use a more capable controller that has sufficient endpoints to connect to all features. A Fibaro controller is a good example of a robust device to use, while the Homeseer system will be limited until they upgrade their capability.
