“The unit was easily added to Homeseer, and it is easily taken apart to replace batteries. Unfortunately, the unit seems to lack sensitivity. We've had several rainy days and it's failed to register any of them. I even tested it to make sure it was working as I was convinced there was an issue. Manually tipping the seesaw, it registers straight away. I think it just needs a large amount of rain to fall to fill the seesaw before it registers. Sadly this means it's not really good at tracking rainfall.”
“Very easy to set up with my Homey Pro and generally works well. The physical design seems very good and you get plenty of good data points from the device which can be combined for all sorts of automation scenarios. My only gripe is that I guess due to the size of the internal ‘tipper’ that fills with rain, it can take 5-10 minutes after the start of even moderate rain before the first notification. So if using to warn it’s raining when washing is out of a roof light open, it’s a bit slow.”
