All of my Z-wave products works perfectly. These, however do not. They have a hard time connecting, won't register changes and have to be rebooted like once a month. Not recommending it.

With a home wired for a 240V thermostat system, there's not a lot of options for Z-Wave remote control. This unit fills that gap, whether you wish to control electric or water-based heating systems. It drops right in place of old conventional stats but offers full Z-Wave control and status updates to the controller. Most other available units have local programmability, which is great in a small system- as long as you're willing to accept the complexity of operation and display, not to mention higher price tag. This unit, however, does exactly what it's supposed to do- control the heating device- and leave the option of program control to the master controller. Even those that are technically proficient often only want to raise or lower the temperature, not fiddle with a bunch of buttons. The appearance is really sleek and refined, distinguished and elegant. You can choose the display brightness for different conditions, as well as use both internal and external temperature sensors with full calibration. Like all Heatit products, it's wise to use a more capable controller that has sufficient endpoints to connect to all features. A Fibaro controller is a good example of a robust device to use, while the Homeseer system will be limited. The Heatit Z-Water is a great match for controlling hydronic systems but even the older OJ EZC work satisfactorily to interface with actuators.

Looks great, over priced, lacks decent documentation creating confusion and has several issues. Once I isolated the circuit, the heat-it device got very confused, mixing up it's temperatures and wouldn't operate properly at all - had to factory reset. I had an issue where it would not heat for hours, had to temporarily set it to run from floor sensor only. Mine was not calibrated for the air temperature, had to reduced it by 2.5 degrees in the settings. So they look great but expect issues, if you tame the issues then you'll probably be ok.
