“Having tried other zigbee contact sensors such as sonoff, I can honestly say this one has been the most reliable and has significantly higher battery life. Yes, slightly more expensive but you get what you pay for and it hasn't let me down yet.”

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the device? What about someone sticking rather strong magnet to the other side of the door to where the sensor is mounted?”
