“It is good and elegant, but it use a lot of battery in my opinion, you have to change the batter two or three times a year, if you have few of these, it is not an easy thing”
“Good sensor, very visual with the multi colour eye on motion and tamper. Very useful for at a glance when determing if its just hot/cold or is it just you.... as at defined temps it will glow blue, green or red to signify too cold, perfect or too hot. Nice in the middle of the night. Good batter life, about months to a year on the ones i have (I cant remember mine are gen 5 or not, prob not). Only complaint is that they can not be wired to usb switch and lack of humidity sensor, other than that, great sensor. Working on Indigo as the controller and Z-Stick Gen5.”
“I have three of these sensors and ther are fantastic, I love the eyeball design, they are very customisable with lots of options. I am using these as part of my home automation system with smartthings, home-assistant and Raspberry Pi3. The only down side is that they don’t measure humidity (are you listening Fibaro?), but I plan to get some more for other areas of the house. Recommend.”
“I have 3 of these and they have been very reliable and the triggering distance is better than others on the market. I had no issues pairing and configuring these in Home Assistant running on a Raspberry Pi3. Would definitely recommend these. I use them to trigger lights and also for Alarm Motion Sensing.”
“This does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is very easy to install and remove. In the HC2/HCL it installs three icons - movement, temperature and lux. It is about 3cm diameter; it is a very nicely designed piece of kit; and is quite discreet when attached to the ceiling.”
