came free with Hubitat, so hence the 3 stars otherwise it would 2. (it's about the quality of packing as well as the functionality) Batteries in plastic wrap were leaking and dead. only noticed when the print was rubbing off the side of the battery and no beep to be heard on the sensor. poor instructions replaced with new batteries, add added the device no problem to Hubitat. - had to choose generic z-wave water sensor when adding it to a dashboard, choose generic water and do not choose custom icon, this will stop dashboard cell from updating when a leak happens tested it with a saucer of water seems to work.

Forced to write a review of this to review other devices I bought at the same time but I haven't used it yet

What controller are you using (optional)? SmartThings
Arrived in good time but I could see it’s been sat on a shelf for a long time as covered in dust and included batteries were all furred up. Used new batteries to join to Smartthings but found I had to delete and re-add several times before it work ed and even then it didn’t report battery status. Several times I tried to make it alert with probes in water and it failed on a number of occasions. In the end I gave up as lost confidence in device. You might have a better experience thou as Smartthings can be temperamental .

One of the few devices that connected and appeared on my VeraEdge controller without any issues.

I bought this sensor for checking for leaking behind my washing machine. When you include or "pair" the device by triple-clicking the button, the Fibaro Home Center will ask you to "Wake" the device at some point, but the device is already awake. Just keep trying to add the device and eventually it will work. I had to try approx 10 times - this was either a signal range or compatibility problem but it works fine eventually. Just keep trying!
