“This is my first try at home automation, using Home Assistant on a Raspberry Pi to switch an immersion heater on/off depending on our battery storage level. The stick suffered from interference when plugged directly into the Raspberry Pi, but works perfectly connected through a USB cable and moved a couple of feet away from other electrical equipment. The ZHA integration worked first time, and the process of linking to a device and then controlling and automating the device from Home Assistant, also using the SolarEdge API integration to measure battery storage level, was straightforward.”
