“Used with dry contacts, this is a valuable piece of smart home tech. It allows you to create automations based on pressure - for example on a bed or a seat. I have found it ideal for shift work so that some automations do or dont run based on me being in or out of bed during the day or night.
Also great for energy saving. If no pressure on couch, turn off tv.”

“As a stand alone door sensor, its great.
Im trying to set this using the dry contacts.
Very little in terms of support or documentation.
Battery drained within 2 days.
Keeps going offline.
Hopefully a better pressure pad will help”
“I needed z-wave tilt sensors and thought that this unit would be ideal as it includes reed switch and magnet together with inbuilt tilt sensor. Wrong! The tilt condition is only transmitted at the point of breaking the reed and magnet so as a standalone tilt sensor it is useless. However, it can be configured to accept external binary input. So, I was able to connect a separate mercury tilt switch to these inputs and now it operates as a tilt sensor. There is even enough space inside the case to accommodate the 3mm mercury tilt switch, so it looks as neat as the picture on the box. As for the z-wave radio they seem very good and reliable and far superior to a different brand of sensor that these replaced (that would misreport their state all the time). I’ve yet to notice these sensors misreport their state once. So good, I’m just about to order some more!”
