I must admit I bought this thinking I could be lucky with some nice stationery. I was disappointed that one of the items in my bag was a bright turquoise shower cap with a face painted on it, as well as stick up ears. I thought I would never use it. However, one day my OH came in from the garage having cut the top of his head open on the door strut. After a trip to the hospital he was super glued back together again, but couldn't get his head wet for several days. Ta Da I said, wait one moment, I have a present for you. I'm sure you can guess the rest. Sadly, he wouldn't let me take a photo of him in the shower cap though. :-(

After deliberating on this for weeks and reading the 5* review I finally caved, but I probably wouldn't go for it again. It sounds like I got the same products as the last reviewer, including the tiny address book, but also a bizarre finger puppet which I wouldn't necessarily say comes under 'stationery' either. Thanks anyway.

The last review made me really like the lucky dip idea (love Midori and had fingers crossed for a blackwing as I'm intrigued by how good a pencil can be), but mine wasn't so great. A Ciak rubrica - address type book with alphabet tabs. So specific in use, I wouldn't call it a journal and certainly can't see me ever using it. Nice iconic pen, same as I'd actually bought in the same order, but fair enough. And the other stationery - a Lightman bendable light and magnifier in the shape of a man. Not what I was expecting! Not really stationery in my view and again can't see a use for it. However, all was dispatched quickly and I guess lesson learned....unlucky people shouldn't buy lucky dips!!

A great selection for the price paid. I received two notepads, an awesome pencil that I now cannot live without and some Midori stationery. Perfect!
