“This mechanical pencil is built like a tank and weighs only slightly less than one. However, as the weight is evenly distributed along the entire length then it feels perfectly balanced and is a pleasure to write with. The patina develops very quickly. For me this is a good part of the charm of the materials, but if it isn't for you then I would warn that to keep it in its original state is likely to be more hassle than it is worth. This pencil pulls of the difficult trick of looking beautiful, writing well AND has a build quality that means it should last (and last [and last]).”

“I bought this with the ystudio rollerball. I love the build quality and style of both, but where the rollerball is just right, the pencil was surprisingly big. I like pencils to be relatively refined but this one is just a bit long and chunky. I cannot fault the quality, just the proportions.”
