Hi Chloe Sorry to hear you're not too happy with your Kokuyo Highlighters! The pastel highlighters are designed to give a very soft, pale sweep of colour so as not to overwhelm any writing underneath the highlight. This is also intended to avoid smudging or smearing of gel pens and wetter inks. I do understand however that it isn't quite what you're after or perhaps the colours are a bit lighter than you were expecting.
