This is the third CIAK journal I have bought - the first two for myself and this third one for a friend. Beautiful quality and I love writing in it. I am writing journals for my daughters to give to them as adults so I want something of great quality and that will last, and this definitely does the job. Thank you.

The CIAK notebook is excellent. I use mostly medium Italic nibs with Aurora fountain pen ink - which is really wet and very black, and the CIAK paper takes the ink beautifully. Absolutely zero feathering and zero bleed-through. Also the Journal Shop is excellent to deal with (I had a problem with an order and they dealt with it immediately) - there is absolutely no reason to buy a journal from anywhere else

I love writing in my journal every day. Soft leather exterior, with elastic fastening perfect quality paper, with good line spacing - not too wide like so many journals these days. Just a treat to use. The 3 for 2 offer makes them affordable. Once used, you won't use anything else again. The journal shop service is always excellent, and I return here when my own stocks have run out!

No description anywhere mentioned one crucial point: the binding, are the pages glued or sewn? Thank goodness, they're sewn! The paper? At long last something of good quality indeed. No showthrough with fountain pen or more importantly with my rotring Isograph technical pen which uses a sort of indian ink. The Journal Shop: what a discovery. My one and only stop from now on.

One of the best notebooks I use daily. I especially like the quality of the paper and the simple idea of using a horizontal band which I use to keep a pen in place (take note Moleskine and Cartesio).

Lovely quality and the horizontal elastic band is great, though could be a little stronger.
