“I am old enough to remember when 'Biro' pens were banned at school. Then I moved thru decades of blobby Bics at a dime a dozen. So switched to V5 gel points. Bought a Midori pen as part of my Star Ferry Edition stash and have never looked back since. Its amazingly fine point and free flowing in are ideal for my small neat handwriting and traveller's notebook passport size. Never ever imagined I would pay this much for a pen, but so glad that I did.”

“I loooove this pen, I don't go anywhere without it. my problem was always to find a pen that writes as finely as this one, outside of Japan. I used to order pens from Japan, but with this one, I no longer need to!”

“I like the brass finish but I am not really keen on the wooden grip. It is very narrow and the wood could have been of a darker kind if you ask me. It feels like the ink is almost run out as the writing isn't really done in a flow. Might be just mine but I wouldn't buy this pen again.”

“I love this pen, it feels like a treat to use it. It's nicely balanced, precise, well made and a pleasure to hold. My only gripe is that you don't get a choice of ink colours – my work (as an editor) means I have to use red a lot and I'd like to be able to buy a red refil. Please tell Midori”

“Recieved the brass Midori pen this morning, and was glad I ordered it! Writes very fine but very clear too, feels comfortable in hand and sits naturally in hand too. Only lil nitpick is that the refill is very hard to remove, but am sure I can get round that somehow!”
