This is a fabulous pen, bought as part of an art project it has been consistently superb and I love how easy it is to change the colour of the ink

Love these pens, I have a couple of the plastic ones, and a metal one, all using different Herbin inks. I like the fact I can swap the bodies around and tend to carry the metal one as its feels more robust than the plastic ones. My only negative is the seeming inconsistency in how they write. Out of the three they all feel different, one beautiful smooth, one borderline annoyingly scratchy, and the other in between, so if you only buy one it could it pot luck....

I wanted a pen that I could refill but that wasn't a fountain pen. This pen has been excellent so far and writes beautifully. There is a small amount of noise from the scratching of the rollerball, but nothing more than a normal fountain pen. Also this is a very fine nib which I enjoy as it makes my handwriting look neater. The metal body also feels more robust and sturdy so worth the extra price over the plastic one.

I've had the pen for a few weeks and I have to say I am disappointed. If left without use for over a day the ink seems to dry up and I have to scribble and shake the pen to get an ink flow. When it is working it feels really scratchy and even though I'm using the Herbin's black ink, it seems to come out as dark grey. Unfortunately I can't recommend. And I bought a load of ink as well!!

Lovely compact pen. It is a good alternative to a fountain pen. It slides well on the paper. My favourite pen now. Very good value too.

I really like this pen, and my wife kept stealing it, so I bought her one, too. Having a rollerball that uses fountain pen ink is a great idea and this one works well with all inks, but somehow seems better suited to Herbin's own ink.

Small pen easily carried in your shirt pocket but large enough when posted and smooth to write with. Attractive to look at with a very discreete "J Herbin" imprint on the cap.

If you are looking for a compact rollerball fits in your pocket, this pen is ideal. Nice classic look in a small compact pen. The only negative point is, other metal objects like keys can easily scratch its paint in your pocket
