I have been writing journals for many years using various leather bound lined paper books, to hardbacks, and then I saw the Midori TN Journal. Wow! I just love it. Completely customisable to suit your needs in every possible way you can think of. If you travel, it just works. If your an avid note scribbler, it just works. If your a doodler or sketcher, it just works. If you are a planner, it just works. I watched a couple of YouTube reviews before deciding to purchase, and after viewing them made my decision. It comes in a variety of colours and I decided to go for the Camel because I liked the colour and the way it would age would tell a story of where it has been. I wasn’t to happy with the single elastic band that comes fitted which would allow you to attach approximately 3 - 4 refill notebooks or a notebook, Kraft Folder and the Zipped pocket. If you jump on to YouTube and look for a reviewer called ‘Stuff and Things’ he does a full video review, and how to customise it using 3 bands. I have spent a small fortune getting this the way I want it. I have the Lined Notebook, Grid Notebook, Free Diary (Weekly) + Notes, Pen Holder (which I have done a separate review for), Connecting Bands, Zipper Pocket, Kraft File, Notebook 2017 Underlay, Refill #022 Sticky Notes all in the one journal. The Repair Kit v.2 allowed me to use genuine Midori bands to make the band customisation by following the Stuff and Things guide to allow the above items to be placed in the journal and the best thing about it is, it does’t look or feel overloaded. I can change the set up of the journal as and when required, add to it or take stuff out to suit my needs as and when required. In terms of the leather, it is quality and the smell tells you that. To break it down, all this is, is a piece of leather that is 25mm long, 22mm wide and approx 3mm thick with 5 holes in it for the preinstalled bands. Nothing magic about that - Agreed The magic comes when you taylor it to your specific needs by adding the different range of items you can put in it. One thing that is missing is a pre-formatted ‘To Do’ list notebook. If Midori designed one, I would definitely be adding that to the journal. Yes you can do it yourself on a blank or lined notebook, but to have a dedicated notebook just for ‘To Do’s’ would be the icing on the cake for me. The journal shop was a pleasure to deal with and I can see repeat business in the not too distant future. Keep up the good work!

This is my new favourite colour and it looks good next to my brown passport size. I like to use my TN in landscape rather than portrait position because I'm a Leftie and find it easier. The leather of my camel TN is so lovely and supple that this is not a problem! Thanks to The Journal Shop for your excellent service!

For years I hoped to get hold of a traveler's notebook in camel and finally have. I am not disappointed and I'm yet to meet a pen the papers can't handle.

Love my Brown traveler but I have a passport size camel and the patina is fantastic. Wanted the traveler regular size for that reason.
