I already hd the lightweight paper counterpart to this. I wish that was available with a grid pattern for more formal entries like figures but it's not so I purchased this as its more robust cousin. It's great, and far surpasses the competition (Moleskine and Calepino etc). But I've been spoilt by the lightweight paper so that, even though this is great and will surely get used up for certain kinds of entries, it's the lightweight paper traveller's size notebook paper that i turn too first – that perfect ration of glossiness and toothless is just too seductive to avoid.

The other reviewers have said it all. This is another quality refill from Midori. I have nothing negative to say at all.

Perfect for fountain pens (some show through, but no bleed through or feathering). I thought the grid lines were slightly bolder than other notebooks which I have found I like.

As an ink pen user I am delighted to find no bleed through, smudging, feathering. The nib on paper experience is smooth and effortless. I have tried boldening titles with 2-3 overruns over the same letters and still no bleed through. Heavy full stops, same pass rate. Not quality tactile experience.

As with the other Traveler's Journal refills the paper here is extremely good, and can be used with any fountain pen without feathering or bleeding or any of that sort of thing. The grid lines are very light, too, making writing and diagrams easy to read.
