“The latest Blonde offering from Moortgaat Brewery is right on the button for matching the Duvel brand. A full, lively head which lasts the whole way and a burst of citrus, hoppy pleasure. I dislike the current trend of turning anything into ‘ beer’ but this is exactly what it says - Refreshing. The flavour settles to a quality Blonde, light palate which sits very well with food or on its own and has a nice, lengthy finish which sees a return of a muted citrus lift. As with Duvel 8% , I prefer it a couple of degrees colder than normal, which seems to keep the hops smoother on the palate. Less cold and you find a mouthful of hoppy delight - if that is your preference. My first bottle I was in two minds. The second I started to enjoy and the third - I was looking forward to a pint on draught. I think this is perhaps why Moortgaat have chosen now to launch - to expand their draught market, recently opened with Duvel 8% ? I’m certainly fully engaged and cannot wait for more and greater accessibility.”
