“I think you will not find a better tool for doing repointing for quickness and reliability. Keep filling it up and it keep going as fast as you can, second to none,you just need to keep it clean to look after it!.”

“The rear wall of my house is 9m x 5m. I was dubious as to whether to spend this sort of money or not, but after using this tool for 5 minutes I knew I'd done right. I would not hesitate to buy one of these. Ordered at lunchtime, and it arrived the very next day.”

“Never used a mortar gun before, and I was uneasy about pointing very narrow mortar joints on a house, as little as 4mm joints and hence the purchase. After a few minutes practice on some ordinary raked out joints I was confident enough to tackle the narrower joints. I have to say the machine is a superb bit of kit delivering pug smoothly and right into the joints and would be pretty easy too use even for a complete novice. The mortar gun is far quicker and tidier than pointing by hand - perfect for any repointing task and comes with spare nozzles etc. Cleaning the gun is obviously key to continuous performance and that is pretty easy too !”

“I and probably most of the other reviewers are not doing long-term tests and reviews of this tool. I rang Sunrise for some advice and they were helpful enough, i'd also been pointed (sic) in the direction of this particular tool by another professional who said it was the best of all pointing guns. I'm using an NHL lime with sharp sand and the gun handles it well straight out of the box. No adjustment or modification needed to the mix or the gun. It has no annoying traits so far, no bits which are badly thought out or anything like that, it seems like a very well thought out tool and so it should be, they've been selling them for long enough to get it right and they have. How long it'll last I don't know, but it's come with a few spare bits and replacement components are easily found on their website.”
