“My recommendation is based upon my eyesight limitations. So, this chinrest maybe fine for some, but maybe not all. I wear vario focal spectacles and have poor vision in my right eye. When i use a standard side mount chinrest, having to look across the strings, i sometimes get an effect of more than one set of strings that appears occasionally and then reverts back to normal. When i tried the centre mount Berber it was with this in mind. I thought that having to look more down the length of the strings would be helpful for me to correct this. THIS THOUGHT WAS CERTAINLY TRUE AND HELPED ME TREMENDOUSLY. i now really love this chinrest. Even if you eyesight is good, i would certainly try this rest to see how it suites. Geoff Hearn”
