“I was amazed at the improvement in tone from the KorfkerRest Luna on both my violin and my 5-string fiddle. I immediately ordered a second one so that I'd have one for each instrument. With both instruments, I had previously been very happy indeed with the sound, but there were very specific aspects of the tone and response that were slightly lacking. To my astonishment, the KorferRest immediately improved these very specific aspects. I feel like my instruments have been upgraded to something of significantly higher quality, and can't believe how simply this was done. Previously I had used a standard wolf rest on the violin and everest on the 5-string fiddle. The tone on both instruments is now more focused and smoother, with less 'noise' and a more settled resonance in the upper frequencies, which particuarly improves the E string. There is a more immediate response to the bow, which allows me more dynamic range, particularly for playing quietly and makes for more sensitive playing and greater musical expression. I'm not sure that the improvement I have experienced would be as striking to all violinists. Whether the investment is worth it will be down to the individual player and the quality of their instrument. As for comfort, I felt more secure with my previous rests.”

“Extremely light shoulder rest. Not as adjustable as it could be but comes with a selection of leg lengths to assist in adjustment. The effect on the tone of my fiddle however has been outstanding and it is now clear enough to hear myself play in sessions!”
