Stringers of Edinburgh is one of Scotland’s longest established and most respected musical instrument dealers. We supply violins, violas, cellos and bows of all levels and offer the highest standard in repair and restoration. Stringers London opened in 2007 and over the past thirteen years has grown to become one of London's leading violin dealers. In both shops, all of our staff members are proficient string players, many are former or current teachers, and always happy to help and advise. “The sound post is fine, just my instructions had not been followed. I asked for the sound post to be moved slightly from where the "normal" measurements would indicate it should go. And simply to be placed where it would create the best sound for the instrument. I am not convinced that my instructions had been followed. I was not there when the work was carried out, I can only go by the sound I had the first time I played the instrument, and the sound it produced after I had it restored by a friend and re-restored professionally by Stringers.”
