Single Blade Nipper DSPIAE ST-A 3.0 The 5T-A3,0 nippers utilize a single-bladed design that elevates the ability of a nipper to cut plastic smoothly and efficiently. The nipper is produced using specially forged steel that has undergone high-temperature smelting, allowing the Rockwell hardness of the blade to reach a rating of 58-64. The made of the 3.0s is then carefully polished, creating a beautiful mirror-like surface that enhances the smoothness of the cut and improves the comfort of use. This product is of a single-bladed design. It is specially designed to improve cuts on plastic models and improve the efficiency of the builder. In the development process, the blade has been tested to withstand more than 50,000 cuts on a 3 mm plastic rod, ensuring the longevity of the blade. The handle of the nipper has utilized ergonomics in its design ethos, reducing stress on the hand and improving comfort, improvements have been made to the rear of the nipper with the inclusion of a limiting rod and screw. This improvement effectively prevents damage to the nipper caused by excessive force or openings, THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ST-AM AND 2.0 Using the ST-A 2.0 as a reference, the ST-A 3,0 has made numerous improvements. The 3.0 blades utilize a new generation of grinding technique that allows the blade to display beautiful rainbow reflections under light. The 3.0 has a smaller gap between the blade and the blunt end as compared to the 2.0. The 3.0 has a mirror like finishing on the blade surface, allowing the cut to be smoother as compared to before. These nippers can break if not used in accordance with the manufacturer's guidance, it is important you cut the sprue close to the base of the nippers and NOT near the tips.

These are one of the best buys I have made this year. Cuts like a hot knife through butter, perfectly unblemished finish, you can practically cut off the sprue and fit straight away, it is that good. If you need nippers, buy these.

I originally balked at buying one of these given the price, but the old adage that "you get what you pay for" has rung true again. I have other quality nippers but the DSPIAE just blow them all away. An excellent tool.

Another high quality tool from DSPIAE, these are excellent for cutting close to the sprue on small parts leaving virtually no clean up required. Great addition to my tool box with my other DSPIAE tools. Very Highly Recommended.

There are a huge range of nippers/cutters for plastic/resin and as with most things you pay for what you get. I have found these to be excellent to date, of high quality and workmanship. Worth considering.

These are without doubt the finest sprue cutters that I have used in 40 years of scale modelling. Yes they are pricey but the quality far exceeds any other that I have used. The blade is so sharp that there is no post cutting clean up required, it quite literally cuts through the sprue as if it were butter. Be warned though, these are a precision tool and cannot be used to hack up sprue frames of 3mm diameter, they are for removing the parts from the sprue, even those tiny or very thin parts can now be harvested safely and cleanly. I'd recommend any serious modeller to invest in them.

The product isn’t cheap but they do the job very well, I have been waiting for these to turn up for a while. Well presented and come with a pouch for the blade end. Highly recommend and great service from the shop.
