Coley Fillets Reviews

We take great pride in our British coley fillets — a fantastic alternative to cod and haddock. Whether you prefer them with or without the skin, we offer fillets in your desired weight, giving you a fully customised experience. Coley is part of the cod family and shares many of its best-loved qualities.
Coley fillets have a slightly darker flesh than cod, but they’re just as firm and tender. When cooked, they produce large, satisfying flakes and a mild flavour that works beautifully across a variety of dishes. Whether you poach, bake, pan-fry, or turn them into a delicious fish burger, coley delivers.
These fillets are ideal for a wide range of recipes. Cut them into strips to make homemade fish fingers, or incorporate them into your favourite sauces for added depth of flavour. Their versatility means they adapt well to any cooking style — making coley a smart choice for foodies and families alike, especially if you're shopping with both flavour and budget in mind.
But coley isn’t just delicious — it’s nutritious too. Like cod, coley is a great source of protein, supporting muscle development and repair. It’s low in saturated fat, making it a popular pick for athletes and anyone following a health-conscious lifestyle. Plus, it’s rich in B vitamins that support energy metabolism and help reduce tiredness and fatigue.
So why not embrace the humble brilliance of British coley fillets? Whether you’re whipping up fish fingers, adding them to sauces, or exploring new cooking methods, coley is a versatile, cost-effective, and nutritious choice that won’t disappoint.

The Skinless version is great. After finding the scales on the Skin on version too hard (compared to other fish from Regal), I tried the Skinless version - it has a great texture and very mild flavour. Although the fillets are labelled ‘Skinned & Boned’, it has the occasional bone, but it is easy to remove. The 1kg Skinless option is good value.

Always seems to be the poor relative of Cod or Haddock but I found it very tasty.
