“These things are an amazing idea, especially if they do make your post last 20 years before it'll rot through. They're pretty fiddly to install though and always worth ordering one or two extra to what you need incase you accidentally melt a bit too much and a hole appears and you need to put a new one on (which I've managed to do on both occasions that I've used these to install 4 posts).”
“Found them easy to wrap my 6"x6" posts. Stick strip is very good and held well while fitting. I found it better to use my heat gun, a bit slower but maybe I was too eager with a blow torch as it damaged the wrap in a couple of places. When rolled there was plenty of bitumen oozing out the top and bottom so quite confident these will add to the durability/longevity of the posts.”
“I found it easy to fit using a basic Black & Decker hot air paint stripper. Time will tell how long it lasts, but I suspect the rest of the post will rot first!”
