First impressions are positive as the unit is reassuringly heavy. The build quality is solid and the design is functional and appealing. I liked having a large carry handle recessed into the top. Three accessory cables are supplied, including the important solar panel connectors. The battery type is lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) which has a much better recharging lifetime than conventional lithium batteries. The Power stations are customised for each country, so the UK model has two UK 3-pin mains sockets and can be charged directly via the massive power adapter that comes with it. This model also features a bright LCD screen which clearly shows the input and output wattage, and remaining battery capacity. The device is mostly silent in use but the fans will kick in if the internal temperature starts to rise. five USB sockets allow you to charge five devices at the same time, whilst the two AC sockets can be used to power, say a Power Tool, Lamp, TV or Fridge for at least 5 hours. My only gripes are that I would have liked to see at least 2 USC-C sockets on the DC side and a way of allowing the display to stay on whilst power is being drawn. Otherwise, full marks.

So far so good. Bought mainly on the basis that it can be recharged something like 2500 unlike some others. Used in the campervan I can pitstop and run a 650 watt electric kettle or toaster without needing to turn the gas on. And it runs the TV for days. Also using at home to run PC knowing I can recharge off roof solar panels
