“User Profile Wizard Professional did a wonderful job with all our company's machines (about 20 of them), moving the users' profiles from the old Active Directory domain to local accounts.
The only precautions to take are to log people off their Microsoft Accounts (and any cloud accounts) before moving the profiles to avoid issues and, of course, create the local accounts on each machine (no need to logon to create a new profile).

“We currently faced the problem that one of our clients needed to move a PC from one AD to another instance. By default that results in a blank default profile. That specific customer asked us to configure his new windows profile as close as possible to his existing one.
