Just to clarify — while some manufacturers include an external MCB or fuse with their SPD kits, others (like the one you've used) integrate protection differently, and this single-module format without a separate MCB is becoming increasingly common. It's not a case of non-compliance — just a different, fully valid design approach. If there are ever doubts about compliance, it’s always best to check directly with the manufacturer, as they can confirm how their product meets BS7671.
