“Light weight and quite comfortable to wear, quite a narrrow fitting, but that means the foot doesn't move wobble.
However,
thin soles give thin tread => lack of grip, so these would be good for occasionable forays into the countryside and sploshing about in puddles in London Southampton or.... For the cost these represent good value, but I do not expect them to last a long time when worn regularly in mud, or while gardening.”
“I recently purchased a pair of Wellington boots from yourselves to say I am disappointed would be something of an understatement.
I bought these boots based on the description of the product and having three cocker spaniels, I wear Wellington boots a lot. Having worn these now a few times I can confirm they are not perfect for country walks or suitable for prolonged wear.
The boots whilst they are made of natural rubber it is very thin perhaps 3 mm and the fabric lining is less than that this means the boot even with two pairs of socks are very cold.
The boot itself has no ankle support so when on a country walk it is very easy to turn your ankle in them. The soles also have no cushioning. I can feel every root and stone through them.
Finally, the heel of the boot is smaller than the heel of the boot. It seems to be a block added to the boot as an afterthought. Again this does not make the boot well balanced for walking in.
I feel I would have been better off buying a pair of Dunlops for half the price. Your description does not match the product which then does not meet the expectations of the purchaser.
I have over the years bought several items from you and have always been impressed with the quality, it was part of the reason I purchased these Wellingtons and feel for the money paid the product falls well short of the expectations particularly based on my experience of previous purchases.”
