They are one of two pairs bought to replace a pair of similar shoes, which, notwithstanding their comparably excellent quality, suffered significant cosmetic damage as a result of the sustained attention of a fox-red Labrador puppy! I have bought several pairs of deck shoes and sailing shoes from Chatham Marine over the years and have been consistently pleased. This is the second pair I’ve had to replace as a result of canine mischief, but I’m accepting this as an essential part of the potential life story of any shoe of quality, since Labradors appear to be discriminating and show little interest in inferior footwear!
