“These desert boots are the best I've ever owned. I'm not a desert book geek but I have had several pairs over the years, different makes - and these are the best made I've had. Simple as that. Comfy yet sturdy with a red stripe aroud the sole which "jazzes" them up a bit, if you like that sort of thing. They come with two pairs of laces - a sand colour that matches the boots and a red pair - that matches the red trim in the sole. Funky option. Again highly recommended.
I can't leave this review without mentioning the outstanding service from Chatham shoes. Thye sent me two pairs of desert boots by mistake, instead of one pair and a pair of loafers, as ordered. When I phoned them to let them know, rather than have me messing about returning one pair, they told me to keep both pairs and that they would send the pair of loafers asap. I offered to send a pair back but they insisted I keep both pairs. The phone conversation took place about 12.30 on a Wednesday - the loafers arrvied at 9.30am the following day. Brilliant service. Very highly recommended.”
“after 4 days use the bottom part of the sole of the left boot became detached at the front...from the red layer above it. Because I had disposed of all the packaging etc. and had paid a discounted price I superglued it back on rather than go to the hassle of returning them. 2 days later the same happened to the right boot...and I have superglued that too. Very surprised, as I bought a fantastic pair of deck shoes...soft terracotta...in the summer which I am delighted with”
“Very pleased with the shoes. I wouldn’t buy shoes on-line without trying them on first but I feel very confident with shoes from Chatham. They have always fitted very well in the past and this pair were no exception. Very comfortable even on day 1. I only wish they would produce a lighter pale tan coloured desert boot.”
