“I've had two pairs of Chatham boat shoes, an older pattern They both served me well. The advice to order half a size smaller is good: I rattle around in the remaining old ones. Two issues. The finish is a bit hard and shiny! I'm fixing that with dubbin. And I've removed the little brand label on the side. No problem with the company name, but I don't want a union jack, thank you. I'm as happy to be seen to be British as the next man but (1)the Union Flag has no place on a boat except on one chartered by someone who knows no better and (2) it is flourished these days by Brexiters who haven't yet realised their mistake. I certainly don't want to be mistaken for one of them.”
“These shoes are really lovely, the first pair of these shoes I received had a minor manufacturing fault. However, the Chatham customer service team were very helpful in organising an exchange, and the second pair arrived with no trouble at all and are quickly becoming one of my favourite pairs of shoes”
