“The previous order, in November, was succulent, tasty and delicious. This, like other orders during 2022 was on the chewy side and not so tender and not as tasty ss the November order.”

“This side of D sliced smoked salmon arrived at the third attempt - though it was on the delivery note, it wasn't in the first parcel. The second delivery arrived, but included an unsliced side.
The third attempt did deliver the sliced salmon, but it is not really very pleasant.
I have had quite a few smoked sides from Campbells, and this fish was much darker than any previous one, as you might possibly expect if it had been oversmoked. The fish is also not as tender as previously, possibly fir the same reason and there are quite a few 'strings' incorporated in the bottom of the slices, almost as if it has been sliced too deep, and some of the skin has been incorporated.
The 'string' is not pleasant to eat, and is mot easy to separate from the flesh
All in all, neither a satisfactory transaction nor a satisfactory fish”
“Its difficult to review somthing you haven't received.
The first delivery, which included the salmon arrived without it.
The second delivery was whole, not sliced.
I'm hoping that the sliced side will arrive tomorrow, and then I'll be happy to review it!”

“I sustained a leg injury just before I was due to host a gathering of 6 friends. It was agreed I could not cook my usual casserole but, not wanting to cancel the event, I ordered the pre-sliced salmon side which I just had to slide onto a long ceramic dish. Perfect fit!
Everyone enjoyed and it was absolutely effortless. I cannot offer any photos since my son & partner arrived the following day & finished every last scrap. I ordered with confidence since the first time the salmon was described as "divine".”
