Thanks for raising your concern, we completely understand why you may be worried about this ingredient and we appreciate you asking.
The cocamidopropyl betaine we use is high grade derived from coconut oil. It is very mild and is internationally recommended for use in foaming products designed for use by babies, infants and those with sensitive skin. We only use a small % of the permitted level and as a rinse off in hand wash product it is very mild and safe to use.
I understand your concern as there have been cases where cheap variations of the ingredient have been produced using alternative synthetic additives. This combined with high levels used in face products could cause irritation.
We only use high grade quailty with the percentage well under the maximum allowed.
We consider our recipe safe to use especially in a rinse off product for hands only.
