It is not a full size horn, so one has to accustom themselves to that. It can be a tough blow at certain points in the range, but I expected that. The low range sounds nice to me, and the high range comes easy. I love how convenient it is to carry around so that I can maintain my chops when away from home. I usually play it in Eb, but my impression is that intonation is even better in F. I have flown with my bubbie domestically in the USA, and it was valet checked at the gate since the planes were too small to accommodate even regular carryons in overhead storage. However, I know that most medium and larger aircraft should be able to accommodate it as a carryon without valet. Anyway, travel has gone well without any damage or anything like that. For what it is worth, it is a beautiful instrument as well. Very glad to have one.

I have been familiarizing myself with the Travel Bubie tuba for a couple of weeks now. Finally took it to a Community Band rehearsal and was questioned by a couple of friends, but the response to the sound was astonishing. This instrument exceeds my expectations and is a joy to play. The short stroke valves are amazing on technical passages. I’m short, I’m 80 going on 81 and I love this horn. Might want BBb and just use these

I am very pleased with my 'Bubbie 5'. I have set it Eb so it matches my Eb bigger Tuba. As I have been under the weather recently it has been very useful to have the travel tuba to play. So thank you. Best wishes. Bob Winter.

I got 2 travel tubas 2 days apart. My Wessex is far above in craftsmanship, playability (extra low octaves), beauty, and amenities like a case with wheels. The personal service I received was amazing as I had never delt with customs before. I would recommend my Bubbie 5 to anyone who wishes to play a finely crafted instrument.

For a long time I was looking for a travel tuba, that looks like a real tuba. I ordered the Bubbie and received the tuba only few days later, good packaged via express transport. The tuba is covered by a strong Gig Bag. I expected a loss of sound quality because of the smaller size, but I was very impressed from the good sound and the intonation. I’m very happy with my Bubbie and will use it in my small brass music groups and for special effects. Best regards from Germany Gisbert Gottschaldt
