Amazing tuba with a dark and centered sound, very well finished, the lead time to have the tuba was good, only 3 days after the order confirmation. I recommend the TE560P

My son is really enjoying playing this instrument, the sound quality is great and the service from Wessex Tuba was very good.

Pleased to have purchased. Impressed with the accessories also with the quick delivery and the packing. Closing the case is slightly awkward it being a touch tight to fit at the joint. Finding the 1st valve sluggish at times whilst playing on returning up, OK when not playing. All the valve movements are nice and light. Very nice mellow tone. All in all, it's a pleasure to play and to own.

I played the Eb Compensated Bass Tuba 'Champion' in the only band competition to run this year in our part of the world. I used it to perform the tuba solo with band accompaniment 'Tuba Smarties' which received rave comments from the adjudicator. Unlike my previous Besson Sovereign it was in tune over the whole range from D above the stave to the pedal range. The tone is superb. The valves were a little sluggish but will probably work in with use. It is harder to get great volume in the pedal region. My only suggestion is to consider putting a pocket in the bell cone protector to store the spare parts as these could easily be separated from the instrument as it is passed from player to player as commonly occurs with community band use. Hi Chris, I am so pleased that you are enjoying the tuba. From my experience, just wipe clean and re-oil the valves every day the first couple weeks and they will then become fast, smooth and reliable. That is what I do with my personal tuba and these are then the most reliable valves I have ever experienced. Jonathan Hodgetts
