This lovely little tuba impressed the senior band bass players and would be well received in a training band.

I bought the junior ‘Elf’ tuba for my 10 year old son who wanted to transfer from the Baritone Horn. The instrument is well crafted, sparing nothing on quality valves and finish, not to mention a robust case and great mouthpiece. Most importantly- seriously- what a beautiful sound… It’s a 10 from us!

We bought a student ‘Elf’ for my son and we can’t be more thrilled. The instrument plays beautifully and has an excellent and secure case. It was delivered in a timely manner as promised. Five stars!!

A great instrument! Very happy with the intonation, projection, and general build of the horn. It exceeded my expectations. Other than the problem about which I previously wrote concerning the trouble with the middle top valve cap removal, it is a great horn. I've been playing tuba since 1960, am a former high school band director and am the assistant conductor of the Atlantic Wind Ensemble, a 40-piece concert band. Before ordering the Junior Elf, I checked David Werden's website (he is the retired euphonium soloist with the US Coast Guard Band) and he gave the horn a good review which sold me on its value. I'm 77 years old with asthma and needed a horn that was easy on the lungs, light enough to carry and good enough to add quality to the tuba parts. Mission accomplished with the E flat Junior Elf. I am anxiously awaiting a reply to my inquiry about the gig bag for the "Elf" which was indicated as a B-360 on your website. Hope it is available soon. Best wished and continued success with Wessex Tubas!
