“The instrument is and has been wonderful. Unfortunately it did not come with all of the parts. (Specifically the thumb ring) I have been trying to get one for two months now and as of yet I have nothing. (I have been working with James and he has been trying to solve my problem, he sent one silver ring to me, but it was the incorrect one and would not screw into the hole) I am very pleased and satisfied with how the instrument plays and looks. Excellent! Just wish Wessex could solve the missing parts problem. R Steele”

Unfortunately we don’t have any thumb rings in stock at present, so need to get from factory. Sorry for the delay. It is not something we stock, as we have never come across one missing before. We could not check if fitted before sending, as no longer have removable thumb rings on Wessex tubas

“I did purchase the Viverna but returned it. There was a flaw in the bottom lip. When I unpacked the horn there were smudges and black patina like spots all over it. With a polishing cloth the black spots wiped off. The valve placement were uncomfortable with my digit placement and my thumb would engage the trigger inadvertently. I thought the valve engineering was less than even standard.”
