Best contra for the price!!! Durable, lighter weight, solid case, and plays/sounds great!!

Great product! We bought the marching tuba (contra) several years ago, and they've held up VERY well through the abuse that marching brings! And they are lighter than our others which students love! :) By far the best quality for the price!!! SO GOOD! So we bought another to slowly thin out the older heavier non-wessex marching tubas!

this may not be the exact model but ive noticed it is extremely similar and i have also noticed that the the placement of that thumb ring can start actually hurting your mcp joint on your thumb and after an overnight sleep of not moving your thumb at all, your joint will be extremely sore in the morning and i see that as an issue, but other than that this is a great horn ESPECIALLY for its price like holy crap your getting an extremely big bang for your buck here

A couple of small marks possibly from overseas delivery, but nothing visible from more than point blank. Valve action is clean and slides are unremarkable, but the accompanying mouthpiece was very tarnished out of the case. Any tips on how to clean? Also, very nice hat! Thank you!

I really like these horns, and the newly reinforced lead pipe is a huge bonus. My only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is I’d like a little bit bigger bore and slightly thicker brass on the bell section, even if it adds a little weight. Overall, terrific horns!

I bough this horn near the begining of 2019, and I have to say I am impressed. For the price, you get a solid horn that you can play out and over the rest of your band mates, Being a person going into drum corps, this instrument let me build up strength for it, and used it during my high school season this year. This feels closer to a 5/4 with how large the bore is, but I love it. I would definitely recommend Wessex to anyone looking for affordable instruments that deliver.
