“I did not purchase any instrument from Wessex. I TRIED to, but this instrument was unavailable in rose brass, only silver at the time, which I did not want. I ended up purchasing the same instrument from another dealer in rose brass. There are several Wessex instruments that I would like to try, leading to a purchase. Sorry we did not have in stock when you wanted. The instrument you bought elsewhere would not be the same, as all Wessex are custom made for Wessex to our own higher specifications, and often our own designs. “"Pretty much amazing!" is a very apt description of the ER 120. A true baritone sound rolls from the bell, but with a deep rich tone that most other baritones don't produce. I recently used this horn for a band concert and received many comments on the 'euphonious' sound. The bore is sufficiently large to support a good, baritone sound without leaning toward the tinny sound that you almost expect. Great horn for the money at twice the price!”
