“I am exceptionally pleased with this horn. I play in a very small high school band with only 9 wind players, with my euphonium being the lowest. The fourth valve and compensating system allow for me to easily play up to an octive lower than a 3 valve student horn, with some good control of your pedal range. This has been super helpful for me and my tiny band. I am also very impressed by the build quality, intonation, and ergonomics of this euphonium, all at an extremely afordable price. My one problem with it, tho it's not enough to reduce my rating, is that the decorative ridges along the bottom of the horn are somewhat sharp and can get uncomfortable after playing for a long time. However, this only really applies if I am wearing shorts, most long pants will be enough to keep the discomfort out. This was my first purchase from Wessex Tubas and I hope it will not be my last. I am very impressed that horns bordering on professional quality are this affordable from Wessex!”
