I'm a tuba player who has diversified in to smaller brass for church gigs. The CR90 Bb Cornet has been a solid and affordable way to dip my toe in to those waters. Intonation is as solid as I can make it and the build quality looks great.

Lifelong euphonium, baritone, and trombone player here. I bought this cornet just to experiment and play with, and to see if my low brass chops would adapt to a smaller mouthpiece. My range is still pretty limited, maybe C to E an octave above. My tone is still inconsistent, but there are times that I even surprise myself with the nice timbre I can get from this instrument. The slides all move nicely. The valves were a little stiff but have loosened up with regular use, re-wiping and oiling (Yamaha Synthetic Light oil). This is a nice looking instrument: it does not feel or look cheap. And as previously mentioned, I can occasionally make it sound like I know what I'm doing. I can only imagine what a half-way decent trumpet/cornet player could do with it. I think this is a lot of horn for the money.

Good cornet ideal for learners as it blows easily and in tune! Comes with a good lightweight case.

I'm a trombone/euphonium player who started on trumpet/cornet in 1957. Purchased this to help strengthen my embouchure to make my high range better. I don't sound good (yet) but a couple of trumpet-playing friends checked it out and said it's good, particularly when considering the price. At this time my lower range is OK, my upper range is non-existent but will eventually return (I hope!).

Decent horn for the price. Plays decently in tune for my purposes (non-professional performances). Good tone quality. However, do NOT use the Wessex valve oil that comes with the horn. It causes valves to constantly stick and I have to oil several times during gigs. Use something else.

Sounds fantastic. Great tone in all registers, very in tune, easy to play above the staff.
