“The THGN801 can be used as the outdoor sensor along with the WMR88 wind sensor and STC800 Solar Cell. The outdoor temperature sensor supplied with the WMR88 can not be used with a STC800, however it can be selected to be channel 2 or 3 and used at a separate location. For the extra cost of the THGN801 it makes a very practical solar powered installation for wind and temperature, I have put mine quite high up on the house. Note you will also need the extra WMR bracket set to mount the 3 items. The only negative is that the wind sensor must point north, the bracket set does not provide an easy way to do this without a further addition pole. I have made a custom bracket from steel welded together with a facility to rotate the wind sensor and then lock it in position.”
