“I spent several weeks researching weather stations and despite being tempted by cheaper products kept coming back to Davis products for their accuracy, reliability and availability of spares. Although initially intending to buy the Vantage Vue, I eventually decided on the Vantage Pro2 as I felt it provided greater scope for adding additional sensors or swapping out sensors for newer versions. I couldn't see any advantage in buying a console as the mobile app works well on smart phone and tablet, so decided on the 6112 package. Unfortunately this was out of stock but with some helpful advice from Jacquie at Weather Shop, I was able to buy the same components for little more that the package price. The Vantage Pro2 proved very easy to put together and set up using the Weatherlink app, with the instructions very clear and precise. The only issue I experienced was with the universal pole, which proved too small (in diameter) for the Vantage Pro2 fittings. A quick phone call to Jacquie and a Davis pole was in the post. The station is now up and running and I have now also added an Airlink air quality monitor to the system. I am delighted with the quality of the Vantage Pro2 and am grateful for the professional help and advice that I received from Weather Shop.”
