“I had avoided these for a while but wish i had got one when they first came out. I was having tick over issues (returning to idle) and had tried a few different dissys even a restored one but saw these had the 912 002 map and wow what a difference, the engine runs smooth and ticks over now, they are completely digital with no actual mechanical wights inside so are very consistent in operating hot or cold.”

“This was not a 'plug and play' straight swap for the original 09 distributor as suggested. The advance does not appear to be sufficient or in the right rev range, also implied by the 'one setting suits all' in the brief instructions for setting '0 for all VW's'. The car's tachometer no longer reads correctly, making set-up difficult and neither '123 ignition' nor Heritage Parts Centre advisors could offer a solution. I'm still working on setting up the car corectly and not helped by the fact that qualified carb tuners are rarer than hen's teeth.”
