“Poor quality casting, holes not round and far from consistent. Looks like they were manufactured in two places and in slightly different moulds. The screws were of poor quality and one snapped under light tension. I think these have been discontinued and I can understand why. Rubbish!”

We take reports of inconsistent casting and screw quality very seriously. The screws supplied are intended to meet normal installation requirements, and the holes should be uniform, so what you’ve described is certainly not typical. I’ve raised this with our supplier to investigate the batch and ensure quality standards are maintained.
As soon as I was made aware of the problem, I issued a full refund. If you’d like, I can also suggest an alternative product that meets higher consistency standards.
